Ad Agency Internship:  Media Buying Assistant

Length of Internship:  Academic Semester/Quarter and/or Summer Break

Matrix Media Services, Inc. is a media buying agency that specializes in out-of-home advertising.  We are not a creative ad agency, nor are we a public relations firm.  Essentially, Matrix acts as a media broker researching and contracting advertising space on behalf advertisers and advertising agencies. 

The available internship is in our Media Dept., and this dept. is the support staff to four Media Sales Executives.  As an intern, you will act as a Media Buying Assistant, in that you will work with Media Buyers to help expedite job tasks for on-going advertising campaigns.  You would have the opportunity to work on various proposals/research projects, and you will also be assigned administrative tasks, including data entry projects. 

In addition to the tasks listed above, you will learn the basics of the outdoor advertising industry, how out-of-home media space is researched and contracted, and how a media buying agency functions and interacts in the industry of advertising and marketing.

Since this is an unpaid opportunity, we will be flexible with the hours and your weekly schedule, but you will be expected to commit to a part-time schedule.  To be considered, please email your resume to Emily Spies.  You will be expected to interview for the internship, and it may be a multiple interview process.
