Social Media/Small Business Internship at Columbus ChamberExpires March 31, 2013

Specific Purpose of the Unpaid Internship:
Provide an experience for one (1) Junior or Senior undergraduate college student, with major in business or marketing, to develop, initiate and manage a social media/marketing campaign for an established business resource website. Website is targeted for women and minority business owners – typically less than 3 years in business – and currently has 700 active website users.
Project’s purpose would be aimed at attracting new companies and organizations towards site by leveraging proven models of marketing strategies (within the social media world). By end of project, all activities and strategies should have components of self-sustainability that requires minimal user interface.
Professional areas of career development include:

· *Market Research
Expected Outcome (Intern):
1) Understand social media and how to create marketing campaign for Twitter, Facebook and Linked – eventually integrating all three platforms.
2) Mid to high level of experience utilizing spreadsheets and formulas on Microsoft Excel.
3) Establish a sustainable model of marketing strategies that exists in the digital media world.
Results-oriented, focused, ability to work with minimal supervision and the ability to step outside the box.
This is a Part-time internship offered for a term of 1 to 2 Months
