Graphic Design, Marketing, & Communications Intern at Ohio Department of Commerce

Job Duties: This is a great opportunity for someone to build their resume and learn more about communications and marketing in a cabinet-level government agency. The intern will work directly with the Chief of Communications and the project manager to redesign all Department publications and outreach materials. While this intern is specifically needed for assistance with graphic design and branding, there is significant flexibility with the additional duties of this position. Additional duties could include, but are not limited to, assisting with copywriting, email marketing, social media, public relations, and marketing research.
Qualifications: Sophomore in college or higher with coursework in graphic design, art, marketing, communications, or a related field; or at least 6 months work/intern experience. Applicant must have a strong creative and artistic skill set and experience working with Adobe Creative Suite CS2 or higher, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Applicant must have a portfolio of school or professional work that reflects a clean, modern style and a knowledge of or desire to learn about branding and corporate identity.
Pay Range: Unpaid/College Credit (there is the possibility that this could become a paid internship in the future)
Term: ASAP
