Public Relations Intern at Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Ohio

The Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Ohio (OCAO) is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization with a mission of raising awareness within the community and educating the public about ovarian cancer. The OCAO also works with the survivor community to support them, their family and caregivers during their cancer journey by providing programming and quality of life support.

The OCAO is seeking a junior or senior looking to build their skills and portfolio in Public Relations while learning how PR works in a nonprofit environment. Interns will assist with creating press releases, internal and external communications, consistent branding and community awareness initiatives.

Must have a good working knowledge of MS Office products and social media as well as some experience with InDesign, web content creation and Photoshop. Must be able to work independently on a variety of projects and to meet deadlines.

The marketing committee meets monthly in the evening and attendance is vital. Candidates must be outgoing and passionate about learning. Must be willing to share their ideas and feel free to provide advice on improving the image of our mission.
