Database Analyst Internship at DOmedia LLC

Interested in working at one of Columbus’s premier start ups?  Want to be at the forefront of the advertising industry?  Capable of managing a large set of sensitive data? On a day-to-day basis, DOmedia builds and offers tools to simplify the process of buying and selling traditional, digital, and alternative out of home media. We are currently seeking a dedicated student or recent graduate for a paid internship assisting the Quality Assurance (QA) department.  The internship goes through the winter/spring, possibly longer.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Designs, codes, tests and documents new applications or enhancements to existing applications
• Implementing changes and running SQL deliverable code
• Data mining to generate useful information and assist intelligence reporting
• Maintain metrics on the number of records processed into the database
• Assists team in recommending application solutions to meet business needs
• Managing the completion of any special projects or ad hoc requests

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current student or recent graduate working towards a 4 year degree in Computer Science or related fields with 3.0 GPA or higher
• Experience modeling relational databases (Oracle, Access, SQL, etc.)
• Experience with Java programming language, including JSPs, Servlets, Struts, Spring and general Object Oriented Designs is preferred
• Excellent excel skills, comfortable working with large sets of data
• Strong quantitative, analytic and problem solving skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to aggregate, organize and synthesize research data
• Self starter who can work with others in a team-oriented environment as well as independently
