Job Summary:
Communications Assistant will assist with activities related to nonprofit fundraising, event planning and
communications. Opportunity to showcase writing, communications and sales abilities with established
clients as well as soliciting new business. The person filling this position is considered a hands-on staff
member, working in a small company where shared job responsibilities are critical. I am a nonprofit
consultant who has several clients that are small to mid-size nonprofit organizations. This is an excellent
opportunity to build your portfolio and network.
Duties:
- Craft marketing messages
- Press releases
- Newsletter stories
- Other communications as needed
- Phone calls and follow-up work
- Event planning and logistics
- Social media management
- Others duties as assigned
Flexible 10 hours per week, hours to increase around event date(s).

Qualifications:
College student with specific interest in Communications/Marketing and/or Fundraising
Excellent written and communication skills
Goal and task oriented

Computer proficient
Equipment to be supplied by Intern:
Laptop with Microsoft Office for use while working
This is a Part-time internship offered for a term of More than 6 Months
