Java Programmer Internship Program Begins January 2012
Bizwatch offices are in Worthington, Ohio. All postions must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week, in two 5-hour increments at the office, and up to 2 hours from home on online research requested. Must be junior or senior, or graduate level student.
There are four internship positions open in January, as well as Spring, and Summer positions. We will also look for part-time programmers, and look to fulfill a co-op position in 2012.
All candidates must have:
· Strong mathematical, research, analytical ability and problem solving skills
· Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
· Strong ethics, integrity & honesty and ability to keep information confidential
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
Qualifications:
· Working on Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field preferred (Senior preferred unless Junior has experience)
· Undergraduate degree if applicable in computer science, mathematics or related field
· Previous internship or office experience
· 1-2 years of programming or testing experience
· Basic experience or knowledge of appropriate programming languages, operating systems and software: Java, MySQL, JDBL, Hibernate, API knowledge and XML parsers. Basic experience or knowledge of SQL and data warehousing
· Basic knowledge of Redmine or equivalent source code/release control and online project management
· Willingness to learn is most important, so even if you don’t have all these qualifications, you must be willing to learn with a great attitude.
About Bizwatch (SMI Analytics):We have hired over 25 interns from OSU in the past ten years, as a search marketing agency, and two programmers. We are currently working on an exciting new software application that involves Google Adwords API, Google Analytics APIs, SEO APIs and Facebook APIs.
This is a Part-time internship offered for a term of 3 to 4 Months
