Graphic Design/Interactive Media Internships at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center

Internships immediately available for students with practical knowledge of digital media and graphic design.  The students will receive hands-on practical experience in developing and planning projects from start to finish and leading efforts with designing various marketing collateral, newsletter, website banners and widgets, as well as working to create various web videos.  This intern will also have the opportunity to present ideas to the Communications Director and develop projects they would like to conduct. 

The interns should have experience with design software such as the Adobe Suite, as well as be very familiar and proficient with social media and Web 2.0, such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Ning, blogging, and podcasting.  They should have experience designing magazines, newsletters, and other print collateral.  Experience with DotNetNuke or other content management systems is preferred as well.

Ohio Hi-Point Career Center is the largest geographic career-technical planning school district in the state of Ohio with a high school serving students in grades 11-12 from 14 partner districts in Auglaize, Champaign, Hardin, Logan, and Union Counties.  We also have high school satellite programs and an adult education division with a highly-regarded school of nursing and manufacturing partnerships with Honda and other businesses.  The Office of Communications is located in Bellefontaine, OH, but the interns would be able to work remotely from where they live to save on gas costs, if that is desired.  Weekly meeting and planning sessions with the communications director will be set-up in Columbus or the area that works best.  The interns may be required to come to the Bellefontaine campus when needed.
