Quality Assurance - Technical Intern at OCLC, Online Computer Library Center Inc.

OCLC Online Computer Library Center Inc. is a nonprofit, membership, computer library service and research organization dedicated to the public purposes of furthering access to the world's information and reducing information costs. Tens of thousands of libraries around the world use OCLC services to locate, acquire, catalog, lend and preserve materials. We are currently seeking candidates, with availability to work part-time (20 hrs/wk) during the school year, for a Quality Assurance - Technical Intern position at our Corporate Headquarters in Dublin, Ohio.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to follow written instructions 
  • Must be willing to learn 
  • Need technical expertise for following written bug reports and new features descriptions 
  • Must have good writing ability to write detailed steps to reproduce test scenarios
  • Must have excellent computer skills 
  • Must be punctual and work the agreed-upon hours
  • Adaptable, able to take on a variety of projects
  • Qualifications:

  • Must have one or more years of college with a major/minor in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or similar degree program 
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree
  • Experience in coding at least one high-level programming language (familiarity with Unix or Java would be a plus)
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work in small project teams with a positive can-do attitude 
  •  Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and organize projects
  •
