Expires September 30, 2008Overview: Universal Low Vision Aids, Inc. (ULVA) is a factory authorized technology dealer serving, blind, low vision, learning disabled, hard of hearing, and deaf/blind persons nationwide. Specific responsibilities include:· Assist in the implementation of customized accessible computers.· Document, troubleshoot client’s hardware and software issues.· Support voice recognition sales, support, and marketing. · Assist in the marketing and maintenance of the company website.· Participate in the development and maintenance of Product Catalog.· Assist in the administration and maintenance of the company’s Windows client/server network. Qualifications:
- Background in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology or related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows XP/Vista operating systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Must be enrolled in a supervised internship program of an Ohio college or university.
- Knowledge in Active Directory, Windows Server administration, Network security, Data Backup Systems and Web Accessibility Standards.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn assistive technology.
